Step 1 — Install Fake Webcam
Download and install Fake Webcam and load a video. Keep it running before opening your browser.
Step 2 — Open Emerald Chat in Browser
Go to emeraldchat.com in Chrome or Edge.
Step 3 — Allow Camera Access
Click Start and allow camera access when prompted by your browser.
Step 4 — Select Fake Webcam
Click the camera/settings icon in the browser or in the Emerald Chat interface and select Fake Webcam Source as your camera. Reload the page if Fake Webcam doesn't appear immediately.
Emerald Chat is browser-based. Fake Webcam works as a system virtual camera driver, so it appears automatically as a selectable camera in any browser-based video chat.
